The Ninth Global Forum on Bioethics in Research (GFBR9) is being held in Auckland, New Zealand from 3 - 5 December 2008.
The Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) is pleased to be hosting this event.
The theme for GFBR9 is Ethics of research involving indigenous peoples and vulnerable populations.
We invite participants from all over the world especially indigenous peoples, members of vulnerable populations, researchers and people who develop ethics policy, to participate in a discussion of ethics in research as we look to find appropriate and respectful ways of directly involving indigenous peoples and vulnerable populations in health research.
Successful applicants will be sponsored by the Partners of the Global Forum on Bioethics in Research. Applicants can also self-fund attendance. The aim is to have a balance of delegates from all parts of the world, with a majority of sponsored delegates.
